Here’s Episode 30, Hiking Kachina Peak Rock Garden, Feb 2019
Most agree this is the most fun hike they’ve ever done. It has zones. First the ladder departure. Then level out above juarez on the ridge. The put your skis on and ski the track downward, getting air. Then skis off, hike thru the forest until you reach the cabin. Then break out into the open seriously steep. Traverse the gigantic rock garden which goes vertically forever. Finally you step thru the last gate. You’re there! Congratulations!
Let’s have fun with fitness!

Beautiful and excellent resolution!
Very nice image and resolution (and pretty). What camera did you use?
John
Thanks, John. I appreciate it!
Actually, all I had with me was a 2K high res gopro.
Am going back with my GH5 and some lenses and tripod
(which is a lot to carry in a high alpine environment)
as soon as we get a sunny day
and it is relatively safe up there from avalanche danger.
t’s breathtaking!!
Wow!! Thank you!!
What fun!!
Lucienne
Thanks for the super great comment, Lucienne. Yes, it was breathtaking in more ways than one. Like, it’s a trip to try to breathe at 12,400 ft. Nice view, too.
Michael
