Today we ride the inaugural Gran Fondo Matese! Starting on a plateau east of Napoli, we descend quickly to the foot of the Matese mountains and begin climbing and climbing and…well, take a look!
Here is the previous Episode, # 12, Passo Mortirolo, near Bormio, northeast of Milan. We had tons of fun meeting Daniela & Valentino for a picnic as well as Omar and friends, who were doing their 130 kilometer loop! It was festa days on Mortirolo, so we lucked out with a helicopter ride–all in perfect July weather.
